| Alverton Apartments are situated
on a white sandy beach in Fitts Village, St James and
are very well situated for all local amenities. For
anyone not wishing to hire a car, local transport is
very frequent and inexpensive. Watersports operate all
along the coastline and can easily be arranged. There
is a supermarket one minute from the apartments in a
complex which also has a doctors surgery and pharmacy
if needed.
Holetown is situated 2 miles north
of Alverton and this very vibrant pretty town has many
popular restaurants and good shopping facilities. The
town has a very long history being the site where the
first settlers landed and the town has grown over the
years to be a very popular destination for tourists
and locals alike.
Bridgetown is 3 miles south of Alverton.
The city of Bridgetown has a large number of shopping
areas and is worth the visit just to browse and soak
in the history of this very old Caribbean city.
Speightstown (pronounced spaytstown)
is 7 miles north of Alverton. This charming old Bajan
town has been designated as an heritage site with walking
tours for the tourist to soak up the history and browse
around the quaint old buildings.The town has numerous
shops and local restaurants which offer very good value
for money. The Fishermans Pub is one of the most popular
restaurants looking out directly over the Caribbean
Sea, the food is very hearty and the atmosphere is friendly
and relaxed - a visit here would be recommended. The
west coast has some has some of the finest beaches in
the Caribbean, with bars and restaurants to suit everyone's
pocket and taste. The island is one of the safest and
friendliest holiday destinations in the world and many
visitors return year after year.
The west coast of Barbados is not the only destination
for the visitor to see, there is also the east, north
and south coast, all have their own unique qualities
and are amazingly different from the west coast - you
could be forgiven for thinking , just for one moment,
that you were not in Barbados. Please come and see for

Car Hire: All forms of transport
can be hired, bicycles, scooters, quad bikes, jeeps
and luxury cars.
Voltage on the islands is 110v with US sockets so
an adaptor is necessary when using British plugs.
Airport: The journey from the airport will take approximately
