| "Alverton" is situated on a long and wide
stretch of beach in Fitts village, St. James, on the
west coast of Barbados. All amenities are situated close
by, Holetown being 3 miles away, and the capital, Bridgetown,
being just 5 miles away.
Within walking distance is the supermarket, where a
doctors office and chemist are also located. There are
numerous restaurants of a very high standard available
within walking distance.
Local transport is very efficient and buses are available
just a few yards from "Alverton" which will
take you anywhere on the island for $1.50 (about 50p).
The Island has many attractions including deep sea
diving, wind surfing, para sailing and trips to see
the turtles which are very friendly and will come close
enough for you to touch. All water sports, trips, carhire
etc can be arranged for you if required. |
